🌎 Inside the 2026 WFP Season: Tour Stops, Qualifiers, and More
Good morning and welcome to the Morning Chalk Up.
In today’s edition:
🌎 The 2026 World Fitness Project locks in three events across three countries and doubles down on a streamlined, elite-focused competition model.
💰 Dallin Pepper’s prize-money breakdown shows how CrossFit athletes can earn real money — but only by competing often, finishing high, and spreading their bets across multiple leagues.
👟 Adidas just released the Dropset 4, pitching it as a true do-it-all trainer built to handle everything from heavy deadlifts to box jumps to short runs
QUOTE OF THE DAY
For 2026, our focus is on sharpening the core product. Rather than stretching competition…we chose to double down on the elite season and the pathways that feed it.”

2026 World Fitness Project Season Details Released
Details for the 2026 World Fitness Project (WFP) were shared this week, including Tour Stop and qualifier dates, divisions, and season structure.
A new Tour Stop location has been added, and the point system has been updated. And, Project 1 is returning for anyone who wants to participate.
Here’s what you need to know.
Tour Stop Dates and Locations
Similar to last year, the season will consist of three events, including two Tour Stops and a Final.
This year's new location, the Santa Fe Expo Center in Mexico City, Mexico, will host the first Tour Stop, May 1-3.
The second Tour Stop will head back to Indiana, where the event will be held at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana, on August 28-30.
The Finals will once again be held at Bella Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, December 17-20.
At both Tour Stops, the Pro men’s and women’s fields will each consist of 50 athletes, and the Elite Team field will consist of 20 Elite teams.
All individuals, Signed Pros, and Challengers will compete in the Pro division; there is no separate Challenger division for individuals at Tour Stops or the Finals during the 2026 season.

What Dallin Pepper’s 2025 Prize Money Earnings Tell Us About Competitive CrossFit Today
Last week, Dallin Pepper released a YouTube video detailing exactly how much he earned in competition prize money during the 2025 competition season.
Between nine competitions, Pepper, who finished fourth at the 2025 CrossFit Games and second in the inaugural World Fitness Project (WFP) season, earned a total of $147,471.94.
Worth noting: Pepper withdrew from the Rogue Invitational, one of the biggest prize-earning opportunities of the season, due to rhabdomyolysis he developed after the TYR Cup in September.
One big thing: Pepper only discussed prize money payouts in his video but didn’t mention any sponsorship money he may or may not have earned. Assuming he also has sponsors who pay him in cash, his gross revenue exceeded $147,471.94 in 2025.

Adidas Releases the Dropset 4, Its Most Versatile Functional Training Shoe Yet
On January 8, Adidas launched its most versatile training shoe to date, the Dropset 4. The footwear designers and testers had it all in mind (think Fran, Filthy 50, Nasty Girls, and everything in between).
Engineered for the demands of multi-discipline workouts, the footwear delivers both controlled stability and explosive power across a wide range of movements.
Based on the insight that many gym-goers wear the wrong footwear, the Dropset 4 was born from a commitment to help its community of current and next-gen athletes cut through the noise and realize their strength by creating a shoe that is everything they need for functional training.
No switching shoes mid-workout or choosing footwear based on the day’s programming. One shoe to rule them all, so to speak.
The Dropset 4, an evolution of Dropset 3, combines technology and design to deliver both all-around stability and dynamic energy return across the demands of functional training, from 800-rep sets to deadlifts to box jumps.
