Nicky is a writer, researcher, small business owner, and CrossFit kids coach. She has lived all over the world and has a passion for community connection and fitness. When she’s not working or training, she can be found traveling, reading, sipping coffee, and petting her cats.

Emily Beers is a health, fitness, and nutrition writer. She has also been coaching fitness at MadLab School of Fitness in Vancouver, B.C. since 2009. A former college basketball player and rower, Emily became heavily involved in CrossFit after finishing her master’s degree in journalism at the University of Western Ontario. She competed at the 2014 CrossFit Games and also worked with CrossFit Inc.'s media team for eight years. Teaganne is a health and fitness writer and is also a trainer in New York City at Union Square CrossFit. After one year of rowing in college and trying her hand at triathlons, Teaganne landed in a CrossFit gym and hasn't looked back since. She has competed at local competitions and at Wodapalooza. She hails from Washington, DC, where she lived for five years writing political journalism.

Austin Heaton is a CrossFit Games analyst for MCU where he specializes in statistics and insights about the competitive side of CrossFit. Austin is a CrossFit L2 certified trainer, and in his personal training, he loves to combine CrossFit with bodybuilding. You can also find Austin's stats on Instagram at @heatonstats.

Writer, hairstylist, football fanatic, and CrossFitter, Julia makes her home in sunny Southern California. When not handstand walking, she is writing for The Fantasy Footballers and running the Hair Department for CBS’s S.W.A.T. Her guilty pleasures are animals dressed as humans, babies wearing tiny headphones at sporting events, and every episode of Arrested Development.

Mexican, fit, and also loves to mountain bike. Andie has a master's degree in sports management and has been a CrossFit coach for the past eight years. She has worked with CrossFit Media for Latam, Wodapalooza, Granite Games, and West Coast Classic.

Boston-based photographer, writer, number cruncher, and Trader Joe’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups enthusiast. Kay is a competitive exerciser and mediocre cyclist passionate about GHD sit-ups and long intervals on the bike erg.

Sarah is a health and fitness writer based in Adelaide, Australia. She obtained her PhD in medical research in 2010 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher for six years before pursuing a career as a coach and writer in 2016. Sarah is the founder and head coach of Nourish & Lift, a specialist women’s health and fitness facility. She holds a CrossFit L1 and is a qualified personal trainer.
