A MESSAGE FROM SYNERGY

A Space-Saving Home Gym Solution

Struggling with limited space in your home gym? Building your dream gym when you’re tight on space can feel overwhelming, especially when deciding what equipment to prioritize. Synergy Custom Fitness’ space-saving, multi-functional, expandable vertical dumbbell racks are a great solution.

The vertical build of the Synergy racks utilizes vertical space efficiently, freeing up valuable floor space for other equipment or activities. This innovative design allows you to store a significant number of dumbbells in a compact footprint.

Instead of your typical 19-square-foot horizontal rack, Synergy also offers four vertical sizes within 4.29 square feet, making them perfect for home gyms short on space.

Each rack is purpose-built with a 3×3 upright, allowing you to attach accessories like landmines, barbell holders, battle rope anchors, plate holders, and more, all in one compact space. This means that you not only save a ton of space, but you will make the most of it with a dumbbell rack that does more than just store dumbbells.

Best part? Their racks can be expanded into a full commercial-grade horizontal rack with their expansion kit while still maintaining the vertical storage on the sides. This is great for when you’re ready to upgrade or move into a bigger space.

Synergy offers its racks in 11 different color options, so you have the freedom to personalize your rack to match your aesthetic and home gym theme.

Hacking Hunger: The Psychology Behind Why We Eat

You're not always hungry when you eat, which might be the key to unlocking better eating habits.

Many people assume hunger is the primary driver of eating. However, the reality is far more complex.

  • We must distinguish between hunger and appetite to truly understand our eating behaviors.

Hunger is the physiological need for food — the body's signal that it requires energy. It typically comes on gradually and is accompanied by physical sensations like a growling stomach or low energy levels.

Appetite, on the other hand, is the desire to eat.

It is influenced by a wide range of factors beyond physical need, including emotions, social situations, and environmental cues. Appetite can strike suddenly and often targets specific foods, even when we're not physically hungry.

Why This Distinction Matters

Recognizing the difference between hunger and appetite is crucial for developing healthier eating habits. Many of us eat in response to appetite cues rather than actual hunger, which can lead to overconsumption and poor food choices.

  • For example, you might find yourself reaching for a snack while watching TV. It’s not because you're hungry — it’s because you've developed a habit of eating while catching up on the latest season of Emily in Paris (no judgment).
