🥇Why Team Outcast's SoCal Win Was So Impressive
Good morning and welcome to the Morning Chalk Up.
In today’s edition:
🏆 With zero Games champions, just one podium finish, and a roster that doesn’t train together, Team Outcasts entered Gymreapers WZA SoCal without the résumés of their rivals. Eleven events later, they walked away with $120,000.
🌎 Sixty coaches from 28 countries were selected for the second annual Red Bull Coaches Camp in Brazil. For three days, they dug into performance, recovery, skill development, and the science behind preparing athletes to race.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
We opened our HYROX Training Club with 80 students already committed to the project, and in less than three months, we were approaching 250. We didn’t just open a gym; we built a community that reflects everything I believe in as a coach.”

Why Team Outcast’s Gymreapers WZA SoCal Win Was Extra Impressive
Last weekend, the 2026 Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal took place in Huntington Beach, CA, featuring the first-ever “Battle of the Camps,” an exhibition-style competition showcasing some of the world's fittest CrossFit athletes.
Originally, Justin Medeiros and Ellie Turner were slated to compete on Team Outcast, but they were replaced just a couple of days before the competition by Domit and Farlow after Medeiros suffered a serious injury, including a broken jaw and concussion, when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle.
Your Body Deserves Better Than Caffeine Alone
Energy drinks solve one problem: alertness. Hippie Energy does so much more. Each can offers 75mg of caffeine, but that’s paired with fiber, electrolytes, L-Theanine, and a 500mg mushroom blend - Lion’s Mane for focus, Cordyceps for sustained energy, Turkey Tail for immunity. No crash. No jitters. Just steady energy that lasts.
Sweetened with only fruit juice (no added sugar or sugar alcohols), the lightly sparkling drink is your new 2:00 pm go-to; we promise.

🤖💪 What If Your Workout Adjusted Itself? A new Samsung patent describes an AI-powered exoskeleton that could track movement speed, joint angles, and muscle signals, then automatically change resistance or assistance while you train. It’s still only a patent, but the concept points toward a future where fitness tech doesn’t just track your workout — it changes it in real time.
