After an exciting first day of action at MVP Arena and Jennings Landing, Day 2 dawns at the 2025 CrossFit Games in Albany, NY. When the dust finally settled on Friday evening, the leaderboards in both individual divisions and the team division remained tightly packed at the top.

  • There’s a full schedule today for the individuals with four events and 400 points up for grabs.

  • Teams will tackle two events after a four-event day on Friday.

What they’re saying:

Event 1 winner and 2023 Fittest Man, Jeffrey Adler, on his kick-off performance in Albany:

  • “I almost threw in the towel on the turn of the second mile, but I mean I gotta go for the 100 points and get as much as I can now because I’m going to lose some in the weekend somewhere.”

Winner of “IE03: Climbing Couplet,” Jayson Hopper called out Dave Castro during his post-event interview:

  • “Dave said this was going to be the hardest workout of the week, and he said he wanted me to come in last so I had a little extra motivation.”

One big number:

43 — The total number of career CrossFit Games event wins by Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr so far. The other four athletes on the top-five all-time event win list are Mat Fraser with 29, Rich Froning with 16, Annie Thorisdottir with 14, and Katrin Davidsdottir with 13.
