Labor of Love: How Hatch Athletic Cares for Women During All Stages of Life and Fitness
Kat Suchet always prided herself on being an athlete in her younger years, but she was looking for a new challenge as she entered her early 30s. Turns out, CrossFit was exactly what she needed, so she jumped headfirst into this new world of functional fitness.
“I made it to the European Championships, but I wanted to get to Regionals, and I think I was a bit late. I was 32 and everyone there was so much bigger and better than me, so it was so hard to catch up,” Suchet told the Morning Chalk Up.
Suchet quickly developed an interest in women’s health during this time, mainly due to personal issues she was facing. During her time competing, Suchet experienced amenorrhea, which is when you lose your period. It was a scary time, but more than that, it was a hard issue to wrap her head around.
This episode gave Suchet a mission: To help women become fitter while educating them about their bodies and overall health. Learn how Suchet’s company, Hatch Athletic, helps women become fitter and gain confidence during all phases of life.

Why Most CrossFit Affiliates Struggle to Grow (And How to Fix It)
By Jason Fernandez, Best Hour of Their Day
Three and a half years post-COVID, and your affiliate is still losing members.
Sound familiar?
If you're like most affiliate owners I talk to, you've seen your membership numbers decline from their pre-2020 highs and can't seem to regain your footing.
The worst part?
You know it's not about retention — your members aren't storming out in anger. They're just... leaving. Moving away, shifting life priorities, quietly slipping through the cracks.
Recently, I coached KJ, the owner of CrossFit 859 in Kentucky, through exactly this issue.
His affiliate has seen a decline from 275 members to about 175-200, a 30 percent drop that's becoming increasingly common in our community.

Why Lauren Kalil’s Packing FITAID for Every Trip This Season
Talk about a woman on the go.
Whether it’s her infectious laugh or her on-the-spot athlete interviews at events around the world, if you’re a fan of CrossFit, there’s no doubt you know Lauren Kalil.
Constantly traveling from her home base in Syracuse, NY, where she podcasts, Kalil has produced content from as far as Dubai, UAE, and across Europe, as well as from locations throughout the United States.
Lately, Kalil has been spending a lot of her time at the Tactical Games.
She recently returned from Texas, where she also competed in the event, and shared her busy days surrounding the event, as well as what helped her get through it all – FITAID.
“The Tactical Games are only a two-day competition – I’m only away for a few days – so I try really hard to bring a carry-on,” Kalil told the Morning Chalk Up.
Head over to FITAID to explore the company’s new supplements and learn more about Kalil’s journey below.
