2025 TYR Wodapalooza Day 4 — Lay of the Land
The clouds parted, and cool weather broke early Saturday morning on South Beach, as the Elite Teams prepared to take the competition floor for the first time. The community divisions, including individuals, teams, adaptive, masters, and gauntlet athletes, continued their competition into the weekend.
The Elite Teams visited all three competition floors throughout the day, starting on the Dymatize Lifting Stage for “Overhead Squad. " Then, they went into the Reign Sandbox for "Block Party. " Finally, they finished the day at TYR Arena under the lights for "Race to the Top.”
On the women’s side, YETI Outkasts made up of Emma Lawson, Danielle Brandon, and Shelby Neal, ended the first day of team competition on top with 279 points.
They hold a narrow lead over LittleMcDottir Coming in Hotter (Reese Littlewood, Lucy McGonigle, and Bergros Bjornsdottir) with 267.
In the men’s division, The Boys (Chandler Smith, Noah Ohlsen, and Travis Mayer) closed out Day 1 in first on the back of two event wins and a third-place finish.
They lead with 294 points, while Mayhem Tres Leches (Gui Malheiros, Jorge Fernandez, and Saxon Panchik) trails at 282 and Team GOWOD (Justin Medeiros, Dallin Pepper, and Willy Georges) and PJ’s (Jayson Hopper, Jeffrey Adler, and Pat Vellner) are tied at 276.
One big number: 2:41 – That was all the time it took for Mayhem Tres Leches, a team made up of Gui Malheiros, Jorge Fernandez, and Saxon Panchik to complete 60 overhead squats in “Overhead Squad” (30 at 205 pounds, 20 at 245 pounds, and 10 at 275 pounds).

2025 TYR Wodapalooza Day 3 Recap: Team YETI Outkasts—Shelby Neal, Emma Lawson, and Danielle Brandon—On Top After 3 Events
After two chilly days at the 2025 TYR Wodapalooza, highlighted by some fantastic individual performances, the clouds parted on Saturday morning, welcoming the Elite Teams of Three.
The women took the floor first.
Day 3 Recap
Event 1: Overhead Squad
The team competition started by going heavy. The reps could be broken up however the athletes chose.
For Time:
30 Overhead Squats, 205/145 pounds
20 Overhead Squats, 245/175 pounds
10 Overhead Squat, 275/195 pounds
Time Cap: 8 minutes
Team Las Mexas X Picsilmx, led by two-time LATAM Cup champ Mariana Meza with Paulina Haro and Ana Castañeda, came out firing in the first heat, finishing with a blistering time of 3:33.
LittleMcDottir Coming in Hotter, a team made up of three 18-year-olds – Reese Littlewood, Lucy McGonigle, and Bergros Bjornsdottir – showed poise despite their youth to card a new time to beat in the third heat of the event (3:07).
The final heat was filled with icons, including “The Dottirs,” made up of Annie Thorisdottir, Sara Sigmundsdóttir, and Katrin Davidsdottir.
However, the Froggy Girls Who Don’t Run (Dani Speegle, Kyra Milligan, and Olivia Kerstetter) pulled out the win. Kerstetter started on the first bar and also took the anchor leg, completing the final 10 overhead squats unbroken.

2025 TYR Wodapalooza Day 3 Recap: The Boys Are Back—Noah Ohlsen, Travis Mayer, and Chandler Smith Lead in Miami
Not to be outdone by the ladies on Saturday at the 2025 TYR Wodapalooza, the men put on a show of their own with plenty of powerhouse teams.
As the sun warmed up the barbells on the Dymatize Lifting Stage, the guys took to the platforms with a lovely Miami Breeze blowing through the venue.
Day 3 Recap
Event 1: Overhead Squad
The earlier heats shined bright, with Invictus Miami (Carlos Labarthe, Phill Muscarella, and Roldan Goldbaum) putting up the time to beat in the first heat, just under four minutes.
However, that time did not last long.
Los Campesinos (Simon Gelinas, Felix-Antoine Lemay, and Andre-Felix Martin) and Team We Step on Legos (Cameron Doyle, Noah Wilson, and Tom Sleigh) went rep for rep, with Legos edging out Los Campesinos by close to one second.
Some familiar individual faces graced the teams in the final heat, with two CrossFit Games champions, Jeff Adler (Team PJ’s with Patrick Vellner and Jayson Hopper) and Justin Medeiros (Team GOWOD with Dallin Pepper and Willy Georges).
The final heat had multiple teams with athletes showing off incredible overhead stability and strength, cycling through huge chunks of heavy reps.
Gui Malheiros from Team Mayhem Tres Leches (with Saxon Panchik and Jorge Panchik) snatched the first rep on the final bar but dropped the bar with only one rep remaining, allowing Justin Medeiros and Team GOWOD to sneak up.
It wasn’t enough, though, as Mayhem pulled off the Event 1 win.
