🚨 Rogue 2025 Lineup Locked — G.O.A.T.-Shaped Roster Absence Revealed

POWERED BY

Good morning and welcome to the Morning Chalk Up.

In today’s edition:

  • 🐐 No Tia — For just the second time, Toomey-Orr will sit Rogue out, opting instead for family time.

  • 🌀 In a society where being sick is “normal,” choosing health makes you a rebel.

  • 🌴🔥 Pepper owns the Echo Bike, the teen vs. the legend, and Brandon pushes Uncle Pat — three spotlight performances at the 2025 TYR Cup.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Unfortunately, I won't be taking the floor as an individual this year at the Rogue Invitational as I have decided to enjoy some quality family time.”

The wait is over. The roster for the seventh annual Rogue Invitational is locked, and for the second time since 2019, the competition won’t include the sport’s most dominant athlete: Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr.

Taking place at Aberdeen, Scotland’s P&J Live Arena from October 31 to November 2, this year’s Invitational features 20 men and 20 women – 18 invitees and two qualifiers in each division – making it one of the most exclusive lineups in the sport.

  • With over $1.5 million in the prize purse currently, it remains the richest competition outside the CrossFit Games.

The storylines are clear: Can defending Rogue champion Jeff Adler, who is now ranked number one in the Rogue Points System, hold off the newly crowned Fittest on Earth, Jayson Hopper? And on the women’s side, with Toomey absent, can Laura Horvath reclaim Rogue glory after her recent WFP Tour Stop win, or will one of the other top competitors like Danielle Brandon, Alex Gazan, or Emma Lawson steal the spotlight?

Key Takeaways:

  • Eight-time Fittest on Earth and four-time Rogue Invitational champion Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr is not among the invitees.

  • Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr: “I won't be taking the floor as an individual this year at the Rogue Invitational as I have decided to enjoy some quality family time.”

  • In 2022, when Toomey-Orr didn’t compete at Rogue after winning the CrossFit Games, Laura Horvath was the champion.

  • Two total athletes earned their roster spots from “The Q” for this year’s Rogue Invitational, down from five in previous years.

  • The 2024 Rogue Invitational champion, Jeffrey Adler, is ranked number one in the Rogue Points System ahead of current CrossFit Games Fittest on Earth, Jayson Hopper.

A MESSAGE FROM GYMREAPERS

People Pay Attention to What You Do - Not What You Say

Motivation burns fast, but discipline endures. It’s the quiet, steady current that pulls you forward on the days when excuses pile up, when the spark is gone, when the weight feels heavier than it should.

Discipline isn’t about hype—it’s about consistency. One rep after another. One promise kept. One standard upheld.

Over time, it’s the difference between fading momentum and lasting greatness.

Discover why discipline matters in training, in life, and in everything you pursue.

The Healthy Rebel: Why Your "Weird" Choices Are Actually Revolutionary

Credit: @benbergeron / Instagram

Sixty to 70% of American adults have at least one chronic disease.

  • Let that sink in for a moment. The majority of people around you are dealing with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or depression – diseases largely brought on by lifestyle choices.

When being sick is normal, being healthy becomes weird.

As we asked on a recent episode of the Chasing Excellence podcast, what if the path to real health involves embracing that weirdness rather than fighting it?

When Normal Became the Problem

Think about what "normal" looks like today.

  • Normal is staying up until midnight scrolling social media, then wondering why you're exhausted.

  • Normal is grabbing fast food because you're too busy to cook, then complaining about feeling sluggish.

  • Normal is sitting for 10-plus hours a day, then being shocked when your back hurts.

Normal is literally making us sick.

When you put the fittest athletes in the world on a competition floor and tell them to go head-to-head against just one other competitor, if you’re a spectator, you won't be disappointed.

This was exactly the opportunity the TYR Cup at TYR Wodapalooza SoCal in Huntington Beach, CA, gave CrossFit fans last weekend, as two teams – Team North America and Team World – competed for the title and prize money.
