There are scenarios where there are a tons of thumbs down and it’s just like a popularity contest… [If we] see there is no reason to step in and overrule the judges on site, then we won’t make a change.”

6 Quick Takeaways from CrossFit’s In-Affiliate Semifinals
CrossFit’s In-Affiliate Semifinals concluded on Sunday, and the preliminary leaderboards are now live. Jeff Adler and Arielle Loewen are the unofficial winners.
Once the leaderboard is finalized in a few weeks, the top 11 men and women will receive invitations to this summer’s CrossFit Games in Albany, NY.
Additionally, another 18 men and women will qualify through one of the 10 In-Person Qualifying Events (IPQE) this season, and one final man and woman will qualify through the online Last Chance Qualifier.
6 Quick Takeaways from the Weekend
Who is Siria Meha?
While 10 out of the top 11 women’s names are familiar to the average CrossFit fan, there is one name that causes a double-take: Albania’s Siria Meha. She sits in second overall, with 40 points.
Though unknown to many in the US, Meha has been competing since 2022 and had a breakthrough year last year when she qualified for the Europe Semifinals. She finished 32nd.
Pending video review, Meha might be one of two female rookies to qualify from the In-Affiliate Semifinals.

MEMBER EXCLUSIVE
We've all been there: excited about our fitness journey and eager to share it with others, only to see their eyes glaze over as we ramble about macros, mobility, and metabolic conditioning.
For fitness enthusiasts, especially CrossFitters, sharing our passion can feel like trying to explain color to someone who's never experienced it.
But what if the issue isn't what we're saying but how we're conveying it?

After Controversial Run Rules and a Quiet Review Window, the 2025 CrossFit Games Team Field Is Set
The 2025 Team In-Affiliate Semifinals leaderboard has been finalized, and we now know the 20 teams headed to Albany, NY, for the CrossFit Games this August.
The only path for teams this season and their only time competing together was the In-Affiliate Semifinal.
A total of 855 teams registered during the CrossFit Open, and any registered team was immediately qualified for the Semifinals stage, just one step away from the Games.
In sum, 138 of the original 855 Open teams competed in the online event from April 24 through 27. That’s a decrease of almost 70 teams from last season, when up to 30 teams were eligible to compete at each Semifinal event, and 206 teams did so.
New for 2025, teams were required to have up to three certified judges for each of the five completed workouts.
Key Takeaways
Team Semifinals are done – 20 teams are heading to Albany.
No penalties or score changes were issued post-review.
Competition Director Adrian Bozman: “We should start expecting integrity from people.”
Butcher's Lab Vanløse won two of the five workouts.
Oslo Kriger won; Tola Morakinyo could earn a third consecutive podium spot in three years, each on a different affiliate team.
