New Champs, Reigning Champs: 2026 Rogue Invitational Sets Up a Showdown in Aberdeen
Reigning champions Jeffrey Adler and Laura Horvath head into the 2026 Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen, Scotland, this weekend with a target on their backs, as longtime rivals and a wave of newcomers aim to knock them off the podium.
The details: This will be the third consecutive year the event is held in Scotland. The event runs from Friday, October 23, to Sunday, October 25, at P&J Live.
The Rogue Invitational marks the end of many athletes' 2026 season and offers a final chance to compete before they prepare for the year ahead (the WFP Finals will also take place in Copenhagen in December). The 2027 CrossFit Open begins Thursday, February 18.
The event is known for its heavy barbell lifts, odd objects, and challenging programming, since athletes can use any Rogue equipment. As of publication, most of the workouts have been released.
A few movements to highlight include:
Viking press
Yoke carry
Axle clean and jerk
Log muscle-ups
There is also a scheduled spot for the workout ‘The Duel VI’ which typically consists of a combination of odd object movements. Last year, ‘The Duel V’ consisted of log traverse, hand-over-hand sled pulls, and a bag-to-pedestal. In 2024, ‘The Duel IV’ had athletes going up and over hay bales and navigating power stair steps.
The final workout, named the “Highland Sprint,” has also yet to be released.
Outdoor Training Season Isn’t Over. Neither is This Deal.
The On Cloudultra 3 is a trail shoe built for longer-distance running and hiking on technical terrain. CloudTec® cushioning delivers stability and efficiency, and Helion™ HF hyper foam adds energy return and impact absorption, so you stay in control on long miles. It’s now $110, down from $190, that’s over 40% off.
The discount is simple: this is last season’s model. The shoe hasn’t changed; only the price tag has.
It’s not the only bargain, either. On has plenty of other last-season finds heavily discounted, so it’s worth browsing if your gear is due for a refresh.

Meet the Turf Games: Another Brand Carving Out Its Piece of the Hybrid Fitness Boom
From HYROX to the Hybrid Games, the Deadly Dozen, and DEKA Fit, if you’re into testing your fitness, the options these days are endless.
Each brand, of course, offers something a little different and caters to a slightly different demographic, but most offer individual or pair divisions.
That’s what sets the Turf Games apart: It’s all about teams.
What are the Turf Games?: Andrew Manteit founded the Turf Games in the UK in 2018. He grew up in Australia playing cricket and rugby, “and loved the camaraderie that sport gave you,” Manteit told the Morning Chalk Up in an interview.
As an adult, Manteit got into functional fitness, but he had a problem. He wasn’t very good at gymnastics or Olympic weightlifting. So instead of competing in CrossFit, Manteit started competing in local erg-based throwdowns with friends in London.
“It tapped into a market of guys who had never competed in fitness before,” he said.
