CrossFit Games Event 2 Revealed – Heavy Dumbbells, High Skill, Shoulder Burn
The second workout for the 2025 CrossFit Games dropped yesterday on social media, and it packs a heavy punch.
Presented by Velites, “Event 2” will include wall walks, dumbbell shoulder to overhead, double-under crossovers, and toes-to-bar.
Remind me: “Event 1” was revealed earlier than in any previous Games season, and will take place on Friday morning, kicking off the weekend.
The workout consists of a four-mile run, followed by a 3000-meter row, and finishes with a two-mile run.
Crossovers return: On an episode of his Week in Review series earlier this month, Dave Castro announced that crossovers would return to the Games in 2025, marking their second appearance.
Double-under crossovers were first programmed in 2022 during the Skill Speed Medley, challenging many athletes who struggled to perform them. Since then, athletes have incorporated them into their training and are now ready to showcase their skills.

What Most People Are Not Doing When They First Start With a Nutrition Coach
When someone comes to work with me as a nutrition coach, they’re usually feeling stuck.
They’ve tried tracking apps, challenges, cutting carbs and sugar (again), and they’re frustrated because they’re not seeing the results they want.
But here’s the thing, it’s rarely just about what they’re eating. More often, it’s about what they’re not doing.
Most people don’t start with a fully developed training plan, a clear understanding of recovery, or awareness of how they’re fueling for performance.
They might be eating “healthy,” but they still aren’t making progress.
In this article, I’m breaking down the four biggest things I see missing when someone first begins working with me, so you can learn to identify them (and start changing them) in your own routine.

Carolyne Prevost Steps In for Injured Gazan — Will Compete at CrossFit Games and Age Group Games in August
Carolyne Prevost admits it was a “weird feeling” to learn she would be competing at this summer’s CrossFit Games in Albany, NY.
After finishing third at the Northern California Classic In-Person Qualifying Event, the three-time Games athlete had missed out on the opportunity by just one spot.
The 35-year-old returned home but immediately resumed intense training after winning the 35-39-year-old Age Group Semifinals. She will compete this August in Columbus, OH, at the Masters CrossFit Games by Legends.
But then, two days after the Northern California Classic, Prevost found out that the winner, Alex Gazan, had been in a car accident and fractured her fibula, a story Prevost was obviously going to follow closely.
Shortly after the accident, Gazan reached out to Prevost to tell her to “stay ready,” Prevost said.
