The 2025 Adaptive CrossFit Games by WheelWOD took place this past weekend at Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, with 260 athletes competing across 32 divisions during the three-day event.

This is the second year that the Divisional CrossFit Games have been separate from the CrossFit Games Finals, including Masters, Teens, and Adaptive Divisions. The separation has allowed WheelWOD to expand its divisions, increasing from 6 in 2023 to 30 in 2024 and then to 32 in 2025.

  • There were seven workouts and nine scored events this weekend for the athletes, meaning 900 points were up for grabs. All workout details here.

How Mental Fitness Unlocks Physical Gains

The barbell is loaded. You've been chasing this deadlift PR for months. You set up, grip the bar, and...nothing. The weight doesn't move.

What happens next in your mind decides whether this is a stepping stone or a roadblock.

  • Do you instantly blame your programming, the equipment, or your sleep from three nights ago?

Or do you take ownership, analyze what went wrong, and use it as fuel for your next attempt?

That split-second decision between blame and ownership doesn't just impact your lifting – it influences your whole athletic journey.

In a recent episode of the Chasing Excellence podcast, we discussed how victim mentality is like a weight vest you never remove, pulling down every part of your performance.

Here are some of our big takeaways.

In the growing world of competitive fitness, new “challenges,” brands, and experiences are continually emerging.

Not only is HYROX expanding its international presence, but competitions like the ATHX Games have also established a strong foothold in Europe, supported by Adidas.

  • Another event, Apex, held last month in Austin, TX, featured top athletes Hannah Black, Kelly Matthews, and Katelyn Johnson.

We can now add one more to the list.

The details: Life Time, the brand behind the nationwide chain of premium gyms, announced that it has entered the competitive fitness market with its new “LT Games,” which are scheduled for this October.

  • In the press release sent out last week, a spokesperson shared that, built on a foundation of “Life Time's premium athletic country clubs, elite coaches, unmatched equipment and proven track record of orchestrating iconic athletic events, the LT Games will not only feature top-tier competitions but also inspire, train and recognize the next wave of hybrid athletes through dedicated programs and classes in its clubs.”
