2024 Rogue Invitational — Day 2 Schedule, How to Watch, Leaderboard and Event Descriptions

The 2024 Rogue Invitational kicked off yesterday with 20 men and 20 women throwing down across three events at P&J Live in Aberdeen, Scotland. When the dust settled, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Jeffrey Adler were on top, but Gabi Migala and Ricky Garard remain within striking distance.

  • On the  men’s side, it was a back-and-forth battle all day ending with Jeffrey Adler on top with a 50 point lead over Ricky Garard.

There is a lot of action left over the weekend and at least 600 more points still available. Check out the full leaderboard here.

A MESSAGE FROM PERPETUA LIFE

Novaxidil Triple Action Hair Regrowth Treatment

Novaxidil is a Premium OTC Triple Action hair loss treatment that stimulates hair regrowth, prevents further loss, AND nourishes your scalp with a combination of clinically proven ingredients: 5% Minoxidil, 2% K-Conazole, 1% Nicotinamide, Vitamin K, Biotin, and Collagen Peptides.

Our team of MD/PhD's formulated Novaxidil to maximize results while minimizing side effects.

MINOXIDIL 5%: Minoxidil is the Gold Standard for hair regrowth. It achieves this by shortening the telogen phase, extending the anagen phase, increasing blood flow to the scalp, and increasing dermal papilla cell activity.

K-CONAZOLE™ 2%: Studies have shown that K-Conazole™, a proprietary version of the popular compound, blocks the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to male pattern baldness, as effectively as prescription alternatives like FINA without the side effects. It works by inhibiting the 5-alpha reductase (5AR) enzyme, which converts testosterone into DHT.

NICOTINAMIDE 1%: Nicotinamide, also known as niacinamide, has potent effects on hair regrowth. In studies, it has been shown to increase blood flow, and reduce inflammation to the scalp, as well as prevent premature catagen entry, and increase hair thickness. Nicotinamide works in synergy with Minoxidil, and K-Conazole™ to maximize hair regrowth, and minimize loss like no other product on the market!

Before you give up, and start rocking the "bald look," give Novaxidil a try. We're confident you won't regret it.

Rogue Invitational Day 1 Recap: Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr Sweeps Day 1, Jeff Adler Leads the Men

“I’m the underdog, and I’m here to reclaim my crown.”

Those were the words of seven-time CrossFit Games champion Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr on Friday at the 2024 Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Though it’s impossible (almost laughable) to consider Toomey-Orr — the undeniable G.O.A.T. — an “underdog,” Hungary’s Laura Horvath is the reigning Rogue Invitational champion, after all.

Remind me: Last year, Horvath beat the six-month postpartum Toomey-Orr and became the first athlete to best the Australian legend since the 2016 CrossFit Games.

But if Day 1 in Aberdeen is any indication, it’s safe to say Horvath, who currently sits in third behind Gabi Migala, has an uphill battle to climb to repeat as champion this year.

  • Toomey-Orr went three for three in event wins on Friday, the first time an athlete has done this at the Rogue Invitational.

With a perfect 300 points, she leads Migala by 25 points, while Horvath rounds out the top three with 210 points.

As for the men, the weekend is young, and with six events to go, it’s the 2023 CrossFit Games champion Jeff Adler who leads the way by 50 points over Ricky Garard.

After that, it’s a close race for the podium, with Dallin Pepper and Jayson Hopper both five points behind Garard in third and fourth, respectively. Chandler Smith, thanks to quiet but consistent performances, is 10 points behind them.

Here’s a full recap of the action from the first day.

3 Noteworthy Performances From Day 1 of the 2024 Rogue Invitational

With the first day of competition complete in Aberdeen, we see some familiar names at the top of the leaderboard at the 2024 Rogue Invitational.

While there have been many great performances so far in Scotland, there have been a few performances that could mean a lot when it comes to the overall competition and future events.

Run Laura Run

Laura Horváth quietly finished in fourth place in “Event 1: Quick Sand” to start the 2024 Rogue Invitational. It’s the second year in a row that Horváth has kicked off the competition with a fourth-place finish in the long ruck run at Rogue.

While year over year the result is the same, it hides what a significant improvement running has become for the two-time defending Rogue champion.

Looking back at her career, Horváth only has three other top-five finishes in events that have more than a mile (1600m) of running (18 total events).

  • Second at the 2022 CrossFit Games in “The Capitol.”

  • Second at the 2022 Lowlands Throwdown Semifinal in “Insidious.”

  • Second at the 2018 European Regionals in “Triple 3.”

Over the last two years, running events haven’t helped Horváth towards her successful finishes. Earlier this year at Semifinals, the women completed five rounds of an 800m run and 10 clean and jerks (125 pounds).
