CROSSFIT GAMES
4 French Throwdown Performances You Might Have Missed
While most of the sport's top names competed at the World Fitness Project (WFP) Tour Event I in Indianapolis, IN, over the weekend, many of Europe’s CrossFit Games hopefuls gathered in Montpellier, France, at the French Throwdown.
It was the fourth In-Person Qualifying Event (IPQE) of ten on the season, and two men’s and two women’s Games invitations were up for grabs.
Moritz Fiebig topped the men’s leaderboard; however, because he already qualified for the CrossFit Games via Wodland Fest in Málaga, Spain, in April, the two Games tickets from Montpellier will go to Bronislaw Olenkowicz and Calum Clements, the second and third-place finishers.
The women’s side told a similar story. Elisa Fuliano took the top spot; however, she did not compete in the CrossFit Open and is not eligible to qualify for the Games. Therefore, second and third place finishers, Claudia Gluck and Lucy McGonigle, will earn the two qualifying spots.

The numbers don't lie — or do they?
As an affiliate owner, you're probably drowning in data but starving for insights.
After 16 years of running CrossFit Rife and working with over 1,000 affiliate owners worldwide, I've discovered that most affiliates struggle with three fundamental information challenges: they can't find the right data, they don't understand what it means, or they have no idea what to do with it.

PROFILE
Alex Gazan Wins World Fitness Project, Sets Sights on NorCal Next
Three-time CrossFit Games veteran Alex Gazan is on a quest to achieve the goal she and her coach, Justin Cotler, set for this season:
“Our goal is to win the WFP and win the Games,” Cotler, also the head coach and co-founder of Underdogs Athletics, told the Morning Chalk Up.
This past weekend, she took a big first step, nabbing first place in the women’s division at the WFP Tour Event I in Indianapolis, IN.
Remind me: Morning Chalk Up senior writer Emily Beers interviewed Gazan and Cotler earlier this month about the upcoming season.
We learned that Gazan had decided not to participate in the In-Affiliate Semifinals qualifier for the 2025 CrossFit Games and instead focus her efforts on WFP Tour I and the Northern California Classic in Sacramento, CA, in June. It’s the last of 10 In-Person Qualifying Events (IPQE) this year.
