COMPETITIONS
Berlin ATHX Games Wrap – Sprague, Jenkins, Wilkinson, and Muir Top the Podium
At the ATHX Games’ first event held outside the UK, professional CrossFit and hybrid athletes took to the competition floor in Berlin, Germany, to compete in the expanding franchise backed by Adidas.
Remind me: The ATHX Games is a UK-based hybrid fitness competition that combines strength, endurance, and speed through a series of high-intensity events.
Designed for athletes of all levels, the program features challenges such as barbell lifts, cardio machines, functional movements, and tactical workouts that test both strength and endurance.
ATHX is gaining momentum, and athletes like Lucy McGonigle, Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson, and Chandler Smith have previously competed.
Last weekend, athletes James Sprague, Ty Jenkins, Ella Wilkinson, Jen Muir, and Graham Halliday all participated in their first ATHX Games across the team and individual divisions.
The results: Jenkins and Sprague competed as a team, finishing first. Wilkinson and Muir fared the same, with Halliday, who competed as an individual, finishing fifth. Aaron Curto won the men's title, and Charis Zach claimed the women's title.

How to Support Your Body and Mind Through the Winter Months
As the days grow shorter and temperatures drop, it’s easy to fall into survival mode—grabbing comfort foods, skipping workouts, and feeling less motivated.
Winter can be beautiful, but it also takes a toll on our physical and mental health.
The good news? With a few intentional habits, you can boost your energy, mood, and resilience all season long.
Let’s explore some science-backed ways to nurture yourself, both body and mind, through the colder months.
Feed Your Mood
What you eat can significantly influence how you feel, especially during winter.
Many people experience a drop in mood called seasonal affective disorder (SAD), which is partly related to less sunlight exposure and changes in brain chemistry. While food isn’t a cure-all, nutrition plays an essential supporting role.
COMMUNITY
Mach983 CrossFit’s Biggest Lift Yet — Building Their Own Nonprofit
Fred Dayton’s mission for his affiliate, Mach983 CrossFit in Aurora, CO, has always been about much more than fitness.
This drive led him to partner with multiple nonprofit organizations – including Forging Youth Resilience (FYR), Redemption Road Fitness Foundation, Team Red, White and Blue, and The Boys and Girls Club of America – to support local youth at risk, inmates, and veterans.
A busy gym owner with a family, Dayton has also always found the time to prioritize fundraising, raising thousands of dollars for various causes along the way.
And now, the Mach983 community is about to do a whole lot more.
Continue reading for how a simple idea from one member sparked an entire nonprofit — and how the Mach983 community made it happen.
