Does the Affiliate Community Still Care About the CrossFit Games? We Asked Gym Owners
It’s safe to say this year’s season has been anything but normal.
From some athletes boycotting the CrossFit Games season after the tragedy at last summer’s Games to the rise of the World Fitness Project (WFP) and CrossFit’s potential sale, it feels like the Games have taken a bit of a back seat.
Or have they?
We spoke to a few dozen gym owners to find out where their community stands and asked them:
Have the CrossFit Games lost relevance, or is the community as excited as ever to come together to cheer on their favorite athletes?
Read on to learn how affiliate owners described the vibe around the Games at their gyms this year.

3 Things Most Athletes Get Wrong — And How to Fix Them
Let’s be honest: most athletes are doing their best with what they know.
They train hard. They care. They show up.
But even the most dedicated athletes can overlook some of the basics that make a big difference, not because they don’t want to improve, but because no one has taught them what to focus on.
So, I asked Haley Ruth, a fellow Training Think Tank nutrition coach who works closely with athletes every day, what she wishes more athletes would do.
Not the flashy stuff. Not the marketing slogans. It’s the real, behind-the-scenes habits that separate thriving athletes from those just getting by.
Here are three of the most valuable insights she shared.
