2024 CrossFit Games North America East Semifinal Preview: How To Watch, Rosters, and Schedule
Three competitions kick off simultaneously during the final weekend of the 2024 CrossFit Semifinals. One of those is the North America East Semifinal by Syndicate Crown, which takes place in Knoxville, TN, from Friday, May 31 to June 2.
The North America East region is arguably the strongest and most competitive, considering the total number of Games invitations allotted to competitors.
Eighty athletes — 40 men and 40 women — will compete for one of the 11 spots in each division and the right to head to the CrossFit Games from August 8-11 in Fort Worth, TX.
Here are the top contenders that we’ll be watching.

Emma Lawson: The Second Fittest Woman on Earth, Emma Lawson, also took first in her region and second place worldwide in Quarterfinals. There’s absolutely no doubt that the young Canadian will shine in Knoxville, and she is an obvious choice as the overall winner.
In 2023, Lawson took fourth behind Emma Cary, Danielle Brandon, and Amanda Barnhart during Semis. With Cary out this year and Brandon and Barnhard having placed lower than Lawson in Quarterfinals, the top of the podium could be hers.

CrossFit Games Rookie Spotlight: How France’s Claudia Gluck Bulked Up to Earn Her First CrossFit Games Spot
After finishing 22nd at the Europe Semifinals in 2023, France’s Claudia Gluck had to admit that she was “very small compared to the field,” and she wasn’t as complete an athlete as she needed to be.
“I can’t change my height, but I can gain weight,” Gluck said of her thinking after last year’s Semifinals.
Ultimately, the biggest hole she and her coach, Luc Millier, identified was her strength.
So the 25-year-old set her sights on gaining some mass and, more importantly, strength to contend with the best CrossFit athletes in the world this season.
It worked.
Gluck gained nearly seven pounds and increased her strength during the off-season. This made all the difference at the recent Europe Semifinal, where Gluck placed sixth overall and earned a spot to compete at her first CrossFit Games this summer.
“It’s amazing. I don’t have any other words. It’s just a dream come true,” Gluck told the Morning Chalk Up the week after she qualified. “I still feel a bit hungover because there were so many emotions during the weekend and so many people and noise.”
She continued: “I needed two days seeing no one [after the competition] because it was just so crazy, but yes, it feels very good.”
Qualifying in France, in front of her family and friends and a crowd of hometown supporters, made it extra special.
“I have never experienced something like that. I would just lift my arms in the air, and people would scream. I have never had that much of an exchange with the public before…It was very special,” she said.

This weekend, 40 men and 40 women take the floor to compete, and for the first time in the Semifinal era, three Games tickets are available for both the men’s and women’s divisions.

The Favorite
Victoria Campos: The Brazilian is the only woman in the field to have made multiple CrossFit Games appearances and is looking to qualify for her third trip to the CrossFit Games this summer.
Campos has been dominant at the South American Semifinals, taking the title in both 2023 and 2022. She also had a podium finish in 2021 when she finished 3rd. Campos enters Semifinals in top form after finishing first in Quarterfinals for the second consecutive year.
