QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I remember way back when I was 14 years old watching the 2016/2017 CrossFit Invitationals and just thinking, ‘Wow, if you get on one of those teams you’ve made it. You’re one of the best’…Shout out to Pat Vellner, Brent Fikowski, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, and Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson for being really old and competing at the 2017 Invitational lolol.” - Dallin Pepper, celebrating the TYR Cup and talking some friendly trash to the “more senior” athletes in the exhibition

8 Way Too Early Rookie Predictions For The 2025 CrossFit Games

Over the last four seasons, there has been an average of 10.5 rookie men and 12.5 rookie women at the CrossFit Games each year.

With over 25% of the field each year composed of rookies, it’s never too early (ok…it’s a little early) to make some predictions about who will be included in the 2025 rookie class.

Anikha Greer — North America East

In three out of the last four seasons, Anikha Greer’s Games hopes ended when she found out she was the first person below the qualification line in her Semifinal.

  • This year she finished in 12th, one point behind final qualifier Lexi Neely.

  • At the 2023 North America East Semifinal, Greer also finished 12th, three points behind the final qualifier, Paige Semenza.

  • Back in 2021 at the Atlas Games, Greer finished sixth, 11 points behind fellow Canadian Sydney Michalyshen.

Anikha Greer has the talent to finish in the top 25 at the CrossFit Games. She just needs to avoid a poor finish in the first event of Semifinals (40th in 2023 and 34th in 2024) to earn her first ticket to the Games in 2025.
